The problem
Intervention: No intervention was tested; this is an observational study examining relationships between attachment, social status, aggression, and well-being
Who it was tested with: 1,753 Vietnamese adolescents (mean age 16.1 years) and 601 Vietnamese young adults (mean age 19.9 years).
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Using structural equation modeling, we investigate the mediating role of subjective social status (SSS) on the paths from insecure attachment to overt aggressive behavior (OAB) and psychological well-being (PW)... in a sample of 1753 Vietnamese adolescents... and test whether the results will be replicated in another sample of 601 Vietnamese young adults." This is a correlational study testing associations between naturally occurring variables without experimental manipulation or control groups.
Cross-sectional design prevents causal inference. Self-report questionnaires may introduce bias. Findings limited to Vietnamese context. No control group or intervention comparison.
