The problem
Intervention: None - this is an observational study examining the relationship between existing sleep patterns and concentration
Who it was tested with: 75 students aged 7-12 years (Grades 2-6) at SD Negeri 37 Anduring Padang, Indonesia, randomly selected.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A quantitative correlational approach was used with a sample of 75 students from Grades 2–6 at SD Negeri 37 Anduring Padang, selected randomly. Data were collected through sleep pattern questionnaires and classroom observation of learning concentration, then analyzed using Pearson correlation." This observational design measured associations but cannot establish whether sleep interventions would improve concentration.
No intervention was tested; this is purely observational. No comparison or control group. Causality cannot be inferred from correlation alone. Single school setting limits generalisability.
