The problem
Intervention: Routine vaccination according to national immunization programs
Who it was tested with: 169 children (aged 0-16 years) with inborn errors of metabolism and cystic fibrosis.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Vaccination history was obtained from immunization cards and parental report. Serological protection was assessed using commercial immunoassays...Descriptive statistics were used to summarize immunization coverage and antibody levels." The study documents real-world vaccination practices and safety outcomes in this vulnerable population without a comparison group or prospective follow-up.
Single-center design limits generalizability; cross-sectional design cannot establish causation or predict future outcomes; serological status was assessed at one time point only
