The problem
Intervention: Maternal education on proper infant and child feeding (PMBA) practices delivered by health centre nutrition officers
Who it was tested with: Mothers of toddlers in Tirtoyudo District.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"This study uses a cross-sectional, correlational strategy" to examine "the association between the prevalence of stunting and mothers' knowledge of infant and child feeding." The apparent disconnect between high knowledge (90%) and persistent stunting suggests the intervention alone may be insufficient, but outcomes cannot be determined from the protocol alone.
The document is a study introduction only, with no results section, statistical analysis, or conclusions presented. The actual association between knowledge and stunting outcomes is not reported.
