The problem
Intervention: Balanced nutrition education delivered through lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions
Who it was tested with: 20 mothers of toddlers at a community health center in Indonesia.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Pre-test results showed that 65% of participants had good knowledge and 35% had poor knowledge regarding balanced nutrition and stunting prevention. Post-test results showed improvement, with 80% demonstrating good knowledge and only 20% remaining in the poor category." The study measured the same group before and after the intervention but lacked a comparison group or follow-up verification of behavioral change and health outcomes.
No comparison group, no measurement of actual stunting outcomes in children, small sample size, no long-term follow-up data reported, unclear whether knowledge improvements were sustained.
