The problem
Intervention: positive parenting practices (strength-based parenting)
Who it was tested with: High school adolescents in Turkey, ages 13-18 years.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Parallel mediation analyses indicated that meaning in life and prosocial behavior mediated the relationship between positive parenting (i.e., strength-based parenting) and adolescent subjective well-being." This demonstrates a mediation model examining pathways through which parenting influences well-being, though the cross-sectional design and lack of experimental manipulation limit causal claims.
Cross-sectional design prevents causal inference; predominantly female sample (69.5%); limited to Turkish high school context; no control group or comparison condition.
