The problem
Intervention: Minding the Baby (MTB), a home-visiting intervention providing relational support and parenting confidence-building from pregnancy to child's second birthday
Who it was tested with: Pregnant women and parents with young children in Denmark; 31 parents who completed, discontinued, or declined participation in a MTB trial.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Within a Danish MTB trial, 31 semi-structured telephone interviews were conducted with parents who completed, discontinued, or declined MTB. Data were analyzed thematically." The study documents parent experiences and engagement barriers through qualitative interviews but does not employ an experimental design with outcome measurement, making it a practitioner-level evidence source focused on implementation insights rather than efficacy.
This is a qualitative study exploring parent perspectives without measuring actual intervention outcomes or child development impacts. The study was conducted in Denmark and findings may not generalize to other contexts.
