The problem
Intervention: Training, health education, practical sessions and direct mentoring of cadres on completing and interpreting the KMS during posyandu services
Who it was tested with: 24 community health cadres at posyandu in Indonesia (serving mothers and children under five).
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"Knowledge was assessed using pre-test and post-test measures, each consisting of 15 questions" shows the same group was measured before and after with no comparison group, so it is a pre-post design.
No comparison group, small sample of 24 cadres, short-term knowledge outcomes only, no data on child growth outcomes or on detection of growth disorders, and skills observation not quantified.
