The problem
Intervention: Assessment of postnatal immunisation service delivery and identification of drivers of good immunisation practices through structured survey and factor analysis
Who it was tested with: Postpartum mothers seeking immunisation services at a tertiary healthcare facility in a low-resource setting.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A factor analysis was performed using the principal component analysis method, eigenvalue criteria, communalities, and confirmatory factor analysis" with data from "a tertiary healthcare facility's postpartum mothers who were seeking immunisation services". The study identified specific predictors of immunisation practice through statistical modelling but cannot establish whether these factors causally drive behavior change.
Convenience sampling at a single tertiary facility limits generalizability. Cross-sectional design prevents causal inference. The model explains 64.7% of variance, leaving 35.3% unexplained by identified factors.
