The problem
Intervention: Reading activities using the Big Book method, compared with the Syllables method
Who it was tested with: Early childhood children, grouped by high or low thinking skills (age and number not stated).
Children or communities are compared with a group that did not receive the intervention, or followed over years. This is the design that best separates what the intervention did from everything else that changed.
"giving treatment to the experimental group and compared it with the control group" shows a comparison-group design, so it is placed in the experimental tier.
The abstract does not say whether assignment to groups was random. It gives no sample size or effect size, and does not report how thinking skills interacted with the reading method.
