The problem
Intervention: Standard childhood vaccination program (routine immunization services)
Who it was tested with: Orang Asli children aged 12 to 59 months in Peninsular Malaysia.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Data were derived from the 2022 Orang Asli Health Survey, a cross-sectional study using a complex multistage sampling design with structured questionnaires and verified immunization records." The study identifies epidemiological patterns in vaccination coverage but documents implementation gaps rather than testing an intervention to address them.
The study is cross-sectional and cannot determine causality. It does not evaluate the effectiveness of specific interventions to improve vaccination uptake, only identifies risk factors for incomplete vaccination.
