The problem
Intervention: Parental adoption of authoritative parenting style (characterized by balanced warmth, clear boundaries, and responsive guidance)
Who it was tested with: Children aged 3-6 years attending TKK Kasih Mulia Cimahi kindergarten in Indonesia and their parents (n=50).
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A quantitative method with a survey approach was employed for this research. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 50 parents whose children attend TKK Kasih Mulia Cimahi, along with direct observation of the children's development. The data analysis technique used was regression analysis to determine the influence of parenting styles on various aspects of child development." The study measured associations between parenting styles and child development outcomes in a single timepoint sample without a comparison group.
Small sample size from single school location, no control group, cross-sectional design prevents causal inference, no longitudinal follow-up to assess sustained effects
