The problem
Intervention: Single session of health education focused on increasing parental knowledge about childhood stunting
Who it was tested with: 93 parents in Bali, Indonesia.
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"This is a pre-experimental study using a pretest and posttest design... Pre-test dan post-test was conducted before and after the intervention... Pre-test and post-test data was analysed using a paired t-test." The study measured the same group before and after a single intervention session with statistical comparison using paired t-test, which is characteristic of a pre-post design without a control group.
No comparison or control group; unclear if the study measured actual behaviour change or sustained knowledge retention; no long-term follow-up data on stunting rates.
