The problem
Intervention: Integration of interactive digital media and technology tools in early childhood education
Who it was tested with: Young children in early childhood education settings in Indonesia.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observations, interviews with educators, and questionnaires given to parents and teaching staff." The study measured learning outcomes before and after technology implementation but lacked a comparison group to isolate technology's effects.
Descriptive design with no control group limits causal inference. Self-reported data from educators and parents may have bias. Study does not specifically measure social and emotional development impacts despite acknowledging this as a concern.
