TEACHING CHILDREN'S SONGS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Children’s songs in kindergarten settings are far from being just ambient soundtracks; they are woven into the fabric of educational experiences, offering joy and learning in equal measure. They create an environment where education and entertainment merge, orchestrating a harmonious blend of growth and discovery for tomorrow’s leaders. Many famous educators oppose the separation of education from the lives of young children. Education should be closely related to the lives of young children, emphasizing that early childhood education should return to the world of young children's lives. The content of the kindergarten curriculum should be based on the actual lives of young children. This article presented (1) the connection between children’s songs and children's lives; (2) children's songs; (3) children's songs with ancient poetry as lyrics; (4) teaching children's songs and children’s songs in early childhood education.

Early Childhood Development in Iraq: Challenges and Future Policies

يهدف هذا البحث الى الإسهامِ في تحسين واقع الطفولة المبكّرة في العراق وتنميتها عن طريق الوقوف عندَ أبرزِ التحديات من جهة، وتقديم مجموعة من السياسات بوصفها قاعدة للانطلاق نحو عملية بناء سليم لها على وفق خطوات تنفيذية مدروسة من جهة اخرى. ومن أبرز التحديات: تدني معدلات التحاق الاطفال في مرحلة التعليم قبل المدرسة حيث بلغت نسبتها (11%)قياساً إلى معدلات النمو السكاني، وهي نسبة متدنية جدا دون مستوى الطموح داخليّاً ودون مستوى البلدان المحيطة بالعراقِ-على أقلِّ تقديرٍ-ولا شَكَّ أنَّ هذهِ النسبة ناقوسُ خطرٍ يُحَتِّمُّ الوقوف عنده لبيانِ الأسباب والمعالجات. تحدي البنى التحتية النقص الحاد في عدد الأبنية، وانخفاض عدد الشعب وعدم قدرة المتوافر منها على استيعاب الاعداد الكبيرة للمتعلمين. تحدي التشريعات والقوانين: اقتصار التعليم الالزامي على مرحلة التعليم الابتدائي في التشريعات والقوانين العراقية النافذة، بنص الدستور العراقي 2005 المادة(34) منه، وقانون وزارة التربية(22) لسنة 2011. أما عن أبرز السياسات المستقبلية: سياسة الالتحاق: تغير نظام التعليم العام في العراق 4 * 4 * 4 وإلحاق مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة بالتعليم الابتدائي. سياسة البنى التحتية (الابنية) شمول بناء رياض الاطفال بالقرض الصيني، وتخصيص ايرادات قانون الحملة الوطنية لبناء المدارس ورياض الاطفال رقم 19 لسنة 2019م لبناء الرياض كأولوية للسنوات الخمسة القادمة، والعمل بمشروع الصف التمهيدي السنة الخامسة من عمر الطفل. تعديل قانون وزارة التربية رقم 22 لسنة 2011 الفصل الرابع المادة (8) أولاً بإضافة مرحلة رياض الأطفال، (وأن يكون التعليم في رياض الاطفال الزامياً او شبه الزامي)

The Role of Athletic Activities in Early Childhood Development: An Evidence Based Literature

This study examines the contribution of athletic activities to early childhood development through a literature review of 20 peer reviewed scientific articles published between 2018 and 2025. Articles were retrieved from reputable national and international databases including Google Scholar SINTA DOAJ and ScienceDirect and selected through a structured screening process based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach to identify key developmental outcomes. The findings indicate that structured and game based athletic activities effectively enhance muscle strength motor coordination balance self confidence and social skills in early childhood. Game based athletic learning was consistently found to be more effective than formal instructional approaches in supporting both physical and psychosocial development. This review highlights the importance of integrating athletic activities into early childhood physical education through developmentally appropriate and adaptive learning designs and provides practical recommendations for educators to implement game based athletic learning strategies.

Influence of Parental Technoference on Early Childhood Development and Parent-Child Bonding

In today’s digitally driven world, parental technoference the frequent interruption of parent-child interactions due to technology use has emerged as a critical factor influencing early childhood development and parent-child bonding. This review investigates how parental gadget use affects children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development, among other critical functions. It also looks at how technoference prevents parents and young children from developing a stable attachment and strong emotional bonds. This paper emphasizes how excessive parental screen time reduces attentiveness and opportunity for eaningful interactions, which are critical throughout early developmental stages. The paper further discusses cultural variations, implications for parenting practices, and potential strategies to mitigate the negative effects of technoference. By synthesizing current research, the review aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the long-term consequences of technoference on early childhood outcomes and family dynamics.

Little Bee Circuit As A Stimulation Aspect of Early Childhood Development

Games included into an integral part of early childhood learning methods. The present research was conducted to develop a game-based learning method for early childhood named ‘the little bee circuit’. This research implements research and development by Borg and Gall which consists of 10 steps. Furthermore, the little bee circuit game is designed sequentially and systematically so that it can stimulate five aspects of child development. The subjects in this study were teachers at five PAUD institutions and group B children in the Blitar Regency by the total respondents are 100. The data collection technique is the distribution of questionnaires to experts in the field of early childhood education, both from educators and early childhood education lecturers. The results of this study produced a learning program that is in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood and is believed to be able to stimulate 5 aspects of children growth and development

The Crucial Role of Hygiene in Shaping Early Childhood Development: A Comprehensive Review

In early childhood education, good hygiene habits are crucial. It supports the child's development of strength, activity, responsibility, self-assurance, and good performance in daily tasks. It's possible that poor cleanliness poses a risk to early childhood development (ECD). The immune system impacts brain development and functioning. The immune system's later functioning in adulthood is influenced by early childhood factors, including hygiene, and this has implications for susceptibility to neurodevelopmental and psychiatric problems. Pregnancy-related inflammatory events have the potential to directly contribute to CNS developmental issues, which have been linked to autism and schizophrenia.

Strategic Role of Early Childhood Development (ECD) Teacher in Parenting Education

Considering the time spent in early childhood development centre vs. at home – parents/caregivers play bigger role in optimizing children’s growth and development. Ironically, upon entering school, parents were as if “handing over the responsibility” to teachers – considered to be more knowledgeable. Additionally, interaction between teachers and parents was cold, insufficient to do problem solving together, moreover sharing about good parenting practice.This project has been implemented in 3 districts (Bogor, West Lombok, and East Lombok) in Indonesia, involving 120 teachers and 60 school leaders from rural/suburb areas. During the project period, more than 250 parenting sessions were held, with average attendance of 40 parents per session. Most teachers agreed that the project has been helpful in building their understanding of early childhood development, and skills in interacting with children and parents. Most parents admitted that the session was educational and fun. The distinctive features of this project are: First, focus on family instead of child/service. Most teachers’ training focused on curriculum and pedagogy, overlooking family/parenting. Secondly, the andragogy approach, using adult education principles, which includes active participation in discussions, games, and problem solving. This is unlike the conventional one-direction communication and lacking dialogue. Third, introduction of play as part of facilitation methods in parenting class, to help parents realize about fun-learning concept.

SARS pandemic exposure impaired early childhood development in China

Social and mental stressors associated with the pandemic of a novel infectious disease, e.g., COVID-19 or SARS may promote long-term effects on child development. However, reports aimed at identifying the relationship between pandemics and child health are limited. A retrospective study was conducted to associate the SARS pandemic in 2003 with development milestones or physical examinations among longitudinal measurements of 14,647 children. Experiencing SARS during childhood was associated with delayed milestones, with hazard ratios of 3.17 (95% confidence intervals CI: 2.71, 3.70), 3.98 (3.50, 4.53), 4.96 (4.48, 5.49), or 5.57 (5.00, 6.20) for walking independently, saying a complete sentence, counting 0-10, and undressing him/herself for urination, respectively. These results suggest relevant impacts from COVID-19 on child development should be investigated.

Perspectives on early childhood development in China: key dimensions and contextual contributions

Introduction: The recognition of culture and context as pivotal influences on the developmental trajectory of young children has been underscored by numerous developmental theories. Localized knowledge is essential for comprehending cultural universality with specificity for early childhood development (ECD). Methods: Thirteen focus group discussions were conducted with professionals, caregivers, and teachers from four regions in China. Thematic content analysis was employed to identify patterns and themes, followed by coding to identify more conceptual units of meaning. Results: The findings reveal distinct culture-based skills across four domains of ECD in China. These highlight a local culture that embraces a comprehensive, dynamic, and staged perspective on the development of young children. This study elucidates the multidimensional impact of the environment on young children's development, with a focus on children's behavioral characteristics and temperament traits, ECEC practices, and ECEC beliefs that transcend identity, culture, and the economy. Discussion: This study contributes to the assessment of ECD for future cultural comparisons and enhances the scientific understanding of the interplay between developmental skills in young children and diverse cultural expectations and backgrounds.

Risk Factors of Impediment of the Early Childhood Development in Rural Bengal

Abstract Background: Early childhood development (ECD) is the foundation of future life starting from conception and depends on biological and environmental factors. Seventy-four percent of these children reside in villages; many are underserved and marginalized. Enabling young children to achieve their full developmental potential is a requisite for sustainable development, but globally, 43% of children are still at risk to do so. The problem of ECD is grave for underprivileged rural population in India. Objectives: The objective of the present study was to identify the key risk factors that are prevalent in a marginalized rural community in West Bengal and to observe the impact of these impeding factors on ECD, thereby helping in priority setting in service delivery to optimize ECD promotion. Methods: In this community-based cross-sectional observational study, a random sample survey of 609 households with children 0–6 years was conducted in Purulia district, West Bengal, India, using a Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey III-based questionnaire followed by data analysis. Results: Lack of stimulatory home environment, poor learning opportunities, and inadequate responsive parental care were major hindrances. The cumulative effect of multiple other health and hygiene factors was also hindering ECD. Most factors were strongly influenced by poor maternal education. Conclusion: Education of caregivers, especially parents by dedicated health workers on early learning opportunities, showed the path of applied sciences in pediatric clinical practice. To modulate socioeconomic adversities with responsive parental care, ECD can be fostered.
