Summary
Written by AI, not yet AICS's view · claude-haiku-4-5-20251001This study examined whether parental guidance is linked to how well elementary school children learn mathematics during online learning. The researchers surveyed students and parents, then used statistical analysis to measure the relationship between parental support and math performance. The findings show a positive correlation between parental guidance and mathematics learning outcomes, with parental guidance being a significant contributor to student success.
Key points
- A positive relationship exists between parental guidance and mathematics learning outcomes
- Parental guidance contributes more to mathematics learning outcomes than other measured factors
- The study was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic when online learning at home was necessary
- Mathematics is perceived by many elementary students as a difficult subject they dislike
Limitations
The document does not specify the sample size, making it impossible to assess the study's statistical power or generalizability. The specific nature of the 'parental guidance' intervention, the precise measurement methods, and details of the online learning context are not clearly described.
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic was a big challenge and parental guidance was needed in student learning to help carry out the learning process at home. Mathematics is one of the subjects that must be taken by elementary school students. Most children think mathematics is a difficult subject even though many children do not like it. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a correlation between parental guidance and mathematics learning outcomes in online learning environments in Elementary Schools. This research used a quantitative design. The research designs using a correlational study with parental guidance and mathematical outcomes. The sample taken was . Data collection techniques included tests and questionnaires. The analysis data using person correlation analysis. The results of this research show that there is a positive relationship between parental guidance and mathematics learning outcomes. The contribution of parental guidance variables to mathematics learning outcomes was higher than the remaining factors. Keywords: Elementary school; learning outcomes; mathematics; parental guidance.
