The problem
Intervention: Health Equity Morning Report (HEMR), a case-based curriculum designed to increase residents' awareness and engagement with social determinants of health
Who it was tested with: Pediatric interns in an academic residency program.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Pediatric interns were observed twice before and twice after curriculum exposure" with "direct-observational checklist" scoring encounters for SSDOH content. This design measures observable changes in clinical behaviour following educational exposure.
No comparison group, single institution, short-term follow-up, no measurement of actual impact on child health outcomes or sustainability of behaviour change
