The problem
Intervention: Educational 'marriage readiness cards' used with adolescents at a health post to build knowledge about child marriage
Who it was tested with: 36 adolescents at the adolescent health post in the Pantoloan Community Health Center area.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"significant improvement in adolescent knowledge after the intervention" - This reflects a before-and-after comparison within one group with no comparison group, so it is a pre-post design.
Small purposive sample, no control group, and only short-term knowledge was measured. The study does not show any effect on attitudes, behaviour or child marriage itself.
