The problem
Intervention: Computer online game designed to teach children road safety rules and conditions
Who it was tested with: Primary school children in Malaysia.
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"The overall findings show that all respondents have positive feedback on online games as a road safety tool. Interestingly, the significant output shows on the different knowledge about road safety when the children are analyzed for before and after they played the games." This indicates a before-and-after measurement design without a control group, measuring changes in knowledge as the primary outcome.
Limited to primary school children in one location with no information on sample size, no long-term follow-up, no comparison group, and no details on which specific road safety concepts showed improvement
