The problem
Intervention: Implementation of TytoCare remote home monitoring technology for use during telehealth visits with the medical team
Who it was tested with: Caregivers of children with pediatric feeding disorders attending the Growth and Nutrition Program at Boston Children's Hospital.
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"Caregivers received TytoCare home monitoring technology for use in virtual visits with their child's medical team. Caregiver satisfaction and stress were assessed in an online survey given at baseline and at three and six months after implementation." This is a simple pre-post design without a control group, measuring the same outcomes at multiple time points in the same population.
No comparison group; high baseline satisfaction may have prevented detection of improvements; study measured only satisfaction and stress, not clinical outcomes or actual usage rates; conducted at a single specialized center
