The problem
Intervention: Community nursing-based family nutrition literacy program including training on balanced nutrition, complementary feeding, dietary diversity, food hygiene, and growth monitoring interpretation, supported by digital educational media, mobile communication, and home-based mentoring
Who it was tested with: 30 families with toddlers in Indonesia, supported by community nurses and health cadres.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"The program was implemented using a community-based method involving five stages: socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. Activities were conducted with 30 families who had toddlers"; the study measured families before and after the intervention without a comparison group, representing a pre-post design.
No comparison or control group; no randomization; outcomes focused on knowledge and practice rather than stunting prevalence; unclear whether improvements are sustained long-term.
