The problem
Intervention: Interdisciplinary pairing of preservice early-childhood and preservice elementary-science teachers across eight inquiry-oriented sessions and a 30-hour professional learning community
Who it was tested with: Eight preservice early-childhood teachers and eight preservice elementary-science teachers in three Bedouin kindergartens in Rahat, Israel.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Reflexive thematic analysis of open-ended responses, discussions, field notes, and final reflections" shows the findings are participants' reported experiences, not measured outcomes. This places the study in the practitioner tier, and because children's outcomes were not assessed, the effect on children is inconclusive.
Small sample, self-reported perceptions, no comparison group, no child outcomes, and no causal or population-level claims.
