The problem
Intervention: Examination of existing vaccination programme implementation and parental compliance patterns
Who it was tested with: 176 parents with children attending vaccination and well-baby clinics in the Doluwa MOH area, Kandy district, Sri Lanka; mean parent age 31 years.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A community-based cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with 176 participants attending vaccination and well-baby clinics" with measurement of vaccination compliance through Child Health Development Records and parental questionnaires. This is a descriptive observational study documenting current vaccination patterns and attitudes without testing an intervention or comparing groups.
Convenience sampling from clinics attending populations only; cross-sectional design provides no causal inference; cannot determine if reported delays reflect actual clinical impact; small sample size limits generalizability
