The problem
Intervention: Education session with interactive lecture, demonstration, hands-on practice and leaflets on oxytocin massage
Who it was tested with: 20 participants (14 breastfeeding mothers and 6 family companions/husbands) at Posyandu Lavender, Cibiuk Village, Ciranjang District, Cianjur Regency.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Methods included interactive lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, pre-test/post-test evaluations, and satisfaction surveys." The same participants were measured before and after with no comparison group, so this is a pre-post design.
Very small sample, one site, no control group, and no measurement of milk production or breastfeeding outcomes. It shows short-term gains in knowledge and skills only. The statistical test value is missing from the abstract.
