The problem
Intervention: Familia Bora, a couples-based parenting program for mothers and fathers delivered in six communities (July-November 2024)
Who it was tested with: Mothers of young children taking part with their partners in six communities in Mwanza, Tanzania; 22 mothers in endline interviews, 15 of them also interviewed at baseline.
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"In-depth interviews were conducted with mothers at baseline, midline, and endline" shows the same group was followed over time with no comparison group, so this is a pre-post design.
Self-reported perceptions only, from a small sample in a short pilot. There is no comparison group, so changes cannot be attributed to the program, and the study reports no measured child or parent outcomes. Follow-up after the program ended is not reported.
