The problem
Intervention: Interactive 3D web app showing customizable genitourinary anatomy (by FGM/C subtype, skin tone, and complexity level) for use in healthcare provider consultations
Who it was tested with: Seven healthcare providers from various disciplines with experience treating women and girls with FGM/C in migration-destination settings.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Interviews were audio- and video-recorded for transcription, and were then analyzed thematically for contextualized data regarding HCPs' willingness to use a 3D web app visualizing anatomy in FGM/C consultations with patients." This is a practitioner-level qualitative evaluation where healthcare providers assessed the tool's potential utility, without measuring actual consultation outcomes or patient benefits.
Small sample of only seven providers with no patient perspectives included. Study evaluated readiness and interest only, not actual use or patient outcomes. No baseline comparison data on current consultation practices.
