The problem
Intervention: Systemic counselling using Bowen approach delivered through six group sessions (one in-person, five online via WhatsApp) targeting family and interpersonal dynamics
Who it was tested with: Primiparous (first-time) pregnant women in Babol, Iran.
Children or communities are compared with a group that did not receive the intervention, or followed over years. This is the design that best separates what the intervention did from everything else that changed.
"This parallel-group randomised controlled trial will involve 72 primiparous pregnant women in Babol, Iran. Eligible participants will be randomly assigned to either the intervention or control group using permuted block randomisation with a block size of four." This describes an experimental design with randomisation and a comparison group, but no data collection has occurred yet, making outcome assessment impossible.
This is a trial protocol, not a completed study, so no evidence of effectiveness can be assessed. No preliminary results or findings are reported.
