The problem
Intervention: Parenting quality (punitive versus positive/involved parenting)
Who it was tested with: 370 Russian children aged 2-7 years and their primary caregivers.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Moderation effects were examined using hierarchical multiple regression and bivariate linear models. In order to differentiate between the models of environmental sensitivity, the analysis of regions of significance was used." The study systematically tests how child personality moderates parenting effects on well-being, finding support for both vulnerability and differential susceptibility patterns.
Cross-sectional design prevents causal inference; reliance on caregiver reports without independent behavioral observation; findings are specific to Russian context and may not generalize to other populations.
