The problem
Intervention: Art-making sessions combined with environmental design and community-school integration to create spaces of care
Who it was tested with: Six seventh-grade students.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Six seventh graders participated in the entire study which included participating in a focus group, one art-making session or interview, a 24-hour observation, and a 7-day follow-up journaling experience." This is a small-scale qualitative case study examining whether art-based interventions support emotional well-being, without a control group or longitudinal measurement of sustained change.
Small sample size of six participants; qualitative design without comparison group; limited detail on measurable behavioral or emotional outcomes; unclear generalizability beyond this specific context
