The problem
Intervention: Virtual classroom learning using multiple digital platforms (Zoom, WhatsApp Video Call, Instagram Live, YouTube, Quizzi) with active parental support and creative teacher instruction
Who it was tested with: Children attending an Islamic early childhood playing group (PrayataSubang) in Indonesia, with their parents and teachers.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"The research method used was case study method at PrayataSubang Playing Group. Data is primarily collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies with parents, teachers, and children." This describes a qualitative case study approach observing one setting without experimental controls or validated outcome measures.
Single-site case study with only qualitative data; no measurement of actual learning outcomes or child development; no comparison group or control condition; findings specific to one Islamic early childhood centre and may not generalise to other contexts.
