The problem
Intervention: Co-Fam model integrating universal Healthy School Start family support program delivered in schools at grade 1 with targeted More and Less parental support program (ten group sessions plus individual boosters) delivered through primary healthcare
Who it was tested with: Children aged 6-12 years with overweight or obesity in a diverse municipality in Region Stockholm, Sweden.
Children or communities are compared with a group that did not receive the intervention, or followed over years. This is the design that best separates what the intervention did from everything else that changed.
"In this hybrid type 2 effectiveness-implementation study with two parallel arms, children aged 6-12 years with overweight or obesity will be randomized to either the ML program or standard care." This is a randomized controlled trial design comparing intervention to control with no comparison group baseline-midline-endline structure, making it experimental tier.
This is a protocol document; no actual results are available yet. The study has not been completed and outcomes are hypothesized rather than measured.
