The problem
Intervention: 6-week smartphone-based cognitive behavioral therapy program (MOCA)
Who it was tested with: Chinese adolescents aged 12-18 years with depressive symptoms (n=200 planned).
Children or communities are compared with a group that did not receive the intervention, or followed over years. This is the design that best separates what the intervention did from everything else that changed.
"The Digital Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chinese Adolescents with Depressive Symptoms (CADS-D) study is a single-center, two-arm, open-label randomized controlled trial. A total of 200 adolescents aged 12-18 years with depressive symptoms will be recruited." This is a randomized controlled trial design with a defined intervention and control group, meeting the criteria for EXPERIMENTAL tier, though outcomes remain inconclusive as the study is still in progress.
This is a protocol document; the trial is still enrolling and ongoing, so efficacy cannot yet be evaluated. Results are not available, making outcome assessment impossible at this stage.
