The problem
Intervention: Outdoor learning method involving direct observation of objects and play elements
Who it was tested with: Grade IV students with special needs at Semin IV Primary School, Gunungkidul District, Indonesia.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Actions carried out two cycles... In the first cycle using Outdoor Learning by visiting a direct object, the number of students complete with a percentage of learning is 55.56%. The Outdoor Learning in second cycle by involving elements of play is 88.89%." The design measures the same group across two sequential intervention iterations with different intensity levels, representing a pre-post structure with progressive implementation.
No comparison/control group; sample size not reported; measurement methods not detailed; single school setting limits generalizability; no follow-up data on retention
