The problem
Intervention: Co-parenting Sinovuyo Caring Families Programme for Parents and Teens, a version of Parenting for Lifelong Health Teen adapted to focus on preventing violence against women and engaging fathers
Who it was tested with: 50 families (parents and teens) in rural Manicaland, Zimbabwe.
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"A mixed methods embedded intervention design was used to assess changes in VAW and VAC from baseline to endline." This describes a before-and-after measurement of the same families with no comparison group, so it is PRE_POST. Results improved on some outcomes but not others, so the direction is MIXED.
Small pilot sample, no comparison group, and results are based on change from baseline to endline only. The abstract does not report effect sizes or longer-term follow-up.
