The problem
Intervention: Nutrition education using the Nutrition Snakes and Ladders educational game
Who it was tested with: 40 pregnant women at Banjarejo Community Health Center.
Children or communities are compared with a group that did not receive the intervention, or followed over years. This is the design that best separates what the intervention did from everything else that changed.
"A quantitative quasi-experimental study was conducted using a non-equivalent pretest–posttest control group design" shows there was a comparison group, so this is EXPERIMENTAL, though a weak version because the groups were not equivalent.
Small sample, a single site and a non-equivalent control group. Outcomes were self-reported knowledge and attitudes, with no health outcomes and no long-term follow-up.
