The problem
Intervention: Online synchronous culturally adapted parent training program delivered to first-generation Latine immigrant caregivers
Who it was tested with: 22 first-generation Latine immigrant caregivers (86.4% Mexican origin, 95% mothers) in central Texas during COVID-19 pandemic.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Through thematic analysis of focus group data, four key themes were generated" - this describes the qualitative methodology used to explore caregiver experiences without a control group or pre-post measurement of outcomes, making this practitioner-level evidence based on reported experiences and lessons learned.
Qualitative design with no comparison group or objective outcome measures; small sample from single region; no measurement of actual changes in child behavior or family outcomes
