The problem
Intervention: An illustrated picture storybook developed using the ADDIE model and used as a learning medium
Who it was tested with: Eight children in Group B at TK Kasih Ibu Uelene, Pamona Selatan District, Poso Regency, Indonesia.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"the increase in the average pre-test score from 56.94% to 81.94% on the post-test" shows the same group was measured before and after with no comparison group, so it is a pre-post design.
Very small sample (eight children), one site, no control group, descriptive analysis only, and no follow-up reported; improvement may reflect other influences such as ordinary development or teacher input.
