The problem
Intervention: Implementation of prophetic communication by the Indonesian Child Protection Agency, combining Islamic principles (amar ma'rūf, nahi munkar, ta'lim/tazkiyah) with modern communication strategies for child protection
Who it was tested with: Communities in South Labuhan Batu, Indonesia; engagement with LPAI staff, volunteers, psychologists, religious leaders, and community members.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving LPAI staff, volunteers, psychologists, and religious leaders." This exploratory design with no comparison group or quantified outcomes cannot determine whether the intervention reduces violence, only that it was implemented and perceived as effective by participants.
Qualitative descriptive design without comparison group or quantified outcome measures; findings are context-specific to one Indonesian district; no data on actual reduction in violence or measurable impact on child protection outcomes
