The problem
Intervention: Annual career fair and resource expo with employers, disability advocacy groups, legal services, and scholarship organizations, combined with pre-event resume building and interview preparation workshops led by brain tumor survivors as inspirational speakers
Who it was tested with: Adolescent and young adult neuro-oncology survivors (30-40 attending each event).
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"Pre- and post-surveys, as well as 3- and 6- month follow up was obtained." The study tracked the same group before and after the intervention with follow-up assessments, though without a comparison group, making it a pre-post design rather than experimental.
No comparison group or control condition; no randomization; outcome measurement appears limited to employment status and college disability advocacy; unclear how many total survivors were tracked longitudinally and reasons for attrition; self-reported satisfaction may not reflect actual behavioral change.
