The problem
Intervention: Play Nicely Program for parents and caregivers, delivered by trained teachers and health professionals
Who it was tested with: Parents and caregivers reached through primary schools and primary health care services in Brazil.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"a descriptive and exploratory qualitative study was conducted through three focus groups with twenty primary school teachers and primary health care professionals who implemented the Program for parents/caregivers in 2022." This is a practitioner-level qualitative assessment of an existing program based on implementer experiences, without a control group or outcome measurements for the families served.
Study relies on practitioner perceptions without measuring actual changes in parental behavior, child outcomes, or violence prevention at the family level. No comparison group and no direct measurement of impact on children.
