The problem
Intervention: Government action to improve access to education, enforce child labour laws, and increase inspections
Who it was tested with: General public residing in Chennai, India (210 respondents via convenient sampling).
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A total of 210 samples were taken through a convenient sampling method. The sample frame was the general public who were residing in Chennai... The results of the study revealed that there is signification relationship between child labour and children's education." The study found correlations between child labour and educational outcomes but did not test an implemented intervention, making it primarily an observational analysis of existing conditions rather than an intervention evaluation.
Convenient sampling in one city limits generalisability; cross-sectional design does not establish causality; the study reports findings but does not evaluate an actual intervention implementation
