The problem
Intervention: ANZANSI: a combination intervention integrating family economic empowerment with multiple family groups addressing family cohesion, gender norms, child education, and child labour
Who it was tested with: 100 adolescent girls aged 11 to 14 and their caregivers in 10 schools in the Northern Region of Ghana.
Children or communities are compared with a group that did not receive the intervention, or followed over years. This is the design that best separates what the intervention did from everything else that changed.
"A two-arm cluster randomized control trial will be conducted to assess the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary impact of ANZANSI... among 100 adolescent girls and their caregivers in the Northern Region of Ghana." This describes a randomized comparison design with treatment and control arms, meeting criteria for experimental evidence tier, though results are pending.
This is a protocol document describing a planned study, not a completed evaluation. No results, findings, or effectiveness data are presented. The study aims to assess feasibility and preliminary impact, not definitive effectiveness.
