The problem
Intervention: Counselling intervention on responsive care and early learning (RCEL) integrated with nutrition services, delivered by trained health service staff and community volunteers through existing community and facility-level platforms
Who it was tested with: Caregivers of children aged 0-23 months in Jalal-Abad and Batken regions, Kyrgyz Republic.
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"We measured changes in RCEL practices through a pre- and post-intervention assessment comprising a household survey and observations." The study used a before-after design to assess changes in the same population over the implementation period.
No control or comparison group; pre-post design without concurrent comparison limits causal inference. Specific effect sizes and baseline values not provided in abstract.
