The problem
Intervention: Lokomat-based robotic-assisted gait training combined with conventional physical therapy delivered daily for 4 weeks (20 sessions of each)
Who it was tested with: 52 children with cerebral palsy, GMFCS levels I-III (mild to moderate-severe motor impairment).
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"Each day, participants attended one Lokomat-based RAGT session and one conventional PT session, for 20 RAGT and 20 PT sessions overall. Instrumented gait analysis was performed before (T0) and after treatment (T1)." This represents a before-after measurement in a single group, with outcomes assessed through objective gait analysis parameters including the Gait Profile Score and spatiotemporal measures.
No control or comparison group; changes could be due to any component of the program or natural recovery; only 4-week follow-up period; observational retrospective design cannot establish causation.
