The problem
Intervention: Keep Their Future Bright campaign using evidence-based messages about harms of underage alcohol consumption
Who it was tested with: Parents of teenagers in Australia (n=817 in message testing phase).
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"Pre-post national survey among parents to test message effectiveness (n = 817)" followed by measurement of reductions in agreement with acceptability of supply and intent to provide alcohol, alongside increased understanding of harms. This demonstrates a before-after measurement design without comparison group.
No control or comparison group; only measured immediate post-exposure attitudes, not sustained behavioural change or actual reduction in alcohol supply; responses based on self-report.
