The problem
Intervention: Posyandu cadres conducting child growth monitoring as an early detection strategy for stunting, with recommendations for strengthening through continuous training, intensive supervision, and performance-based incentive systems
Who it was tested with: 79 active Posyandu cadres in the service area of Graha Indah Public Health Center, North Balikpapan, Indonesia.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A descriptive analytical study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. A total of 79 active Posyandu cadres were purposively selected as the study sample. Data were collected using structured questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability and were analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation test." The study documents current cadre performance and factors associated with it, representing observational evidence of cadre practice in stunting detection.
Cross-sectional design cannot establish causality; single service area limits generalizability; study only assessed associations, not intervention outcomes or effectiveness of specific training or incentive programs
