The problem
Intervention: Tailor-made artificial intelligence curriculum designed to enhance foundational AI knowledge and skills in using generative AI for elementary school children
Who it was tested with: 30 elementary school students from grades 3 and 4 in Taiwan.
The same group is measured before the intervention and again afterwards, with a baseline and an endline and sometimes a midline. Change is visible, but other causes cannot be ruled out.
"This study was conducted in Taiwan, involving 30 elementary school students from grades 3 and 4, employing a single-group pre-test and post-test research design. Data were collected and analyzed through pre-and post-tests on AI knowledge quizzes and AI knowledge self-assessment." The study measures the same group before and after the intervention with no comparison group, making it a pre-post design.
No comparison group to isolate the effect of the curriculum; small sample size of 30 students; no long-term follow-up data to assess sustainability of learning outcomes; limited demographic information about participating students.
