The problem
Intervention: Tailoring Immunization Programmes approach including reminders, outreach and home visiting
Who it was tested with: Children in a disadvantaged community in New South Wales; implementation evaluated with 24 health workers, nurses, managers and general practitioners.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"A process evaluation was conducted to identify barriers and facilitators for research translation" with "Twenty-four participants took part in three focus groups and four interviews." The study examined implementation experience and perspectives rather than testing intervention effectiveness through outcome measurement.
This is a process evaluation that does not measure vaccination coverage outcomes or test intervention effectiveness. The study cannot determine whether the intervention would improve immunisation rates if fully implemented.
