The problem
Intervention: Recommended infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices, including breastfeeding, minimum dietary diversity, and minimum meal frequency
Who it was tested with: Children aged 6-23 months in Zambia.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
[tier lowered: the text shows no comparison-group design] "We fitted a bivariate logistic regression to measure association between feeding practices and stunting in children." This shows a comparison-based statistical design using observational survey data rather than a randomized or before/after study, so it is treated as a lower-confidence quasi-experimental analysis.
Cross-sectional design cannot establish causality, and the data are from 2008, which may not reflect current practices or conditions.
