The problem
Intervention: Adult participation in medical weight management programs with obesity medications
Who it was tested with: Ten parents enrolled in medical weight management clinics with at least one child aged 18 or younger in the household.
Experience from people who deliver programmes: stories, case studies and lessons learned. Valuable for understanding how and why, and for spotting what to test next, but not a measure of effect.
"Interviews were conducted between December 2024 and July 2025. Data analysis was guided through a thematic process." This is a qualitative interview study capturing parent perceptions at a single time point, representing the lowest evidence tier as it relies on self-report without objective outcomes or comparison groups.
Small sample size (n=10), qualitative design relying on parent perceptions without objective measurement of children's actual behavioral changes, no comparison group, no baseline or endline data collection, no follow-up on whether perceived changes persisted
